Job Description

We currently have an exciting role for a permanent Media and Post Systems Engineering Manager to join a leading broadcast service provider based in London.  The role will be responsible for managing the Media Systems Engineering team which cover the support of the companies Avid and EVS systems and associated post production systems including PAM and MAM, transcoding, editing and grading.

As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for a team made up of Media Systems Engineers and Lead Engineers, taking charge of planning and implementing post production workflows and processes to ensure a high level of service availability at all times.  You will also manage projects, plan rotas and freelance cover and ensure the continued development of the people in your team including planning training and development when required.  Working as part of the wider engineering management team you will set the highest of standards with a primary objective of maintaining engineering excellence in the department.  

Applicants should have a proven engineering background within a similar media technology focused environment.  Excellent knowledge across post production systems and file based workflows is essential with previous hands on support experience of Avid systems including Interplay, Nexis storage Media Composer, Media Central or EVS systems including XTS and XS video servers, IP Director, transcode engines also being important.  Strong IT skills are also essential including a good level of knowledge in networking and server infrastructures.   

You should also have strong management and leadership skills with a positive and enthusiastic manner. You should be able to motivate team members, be self motivated and continually strive to make improvements.
