We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for multiple Application Support Technicians to join a brand-new team at a market-leading digital sports content provider based in West Yorkshire.
As Application Support Technician, you will be required to ensure that the company’s platform is available at all times and will be responsible for first line IT support to inbound customer incidents in a 24/7 environment.
Your duties will include incident logging, providing service availability, continuous service improvements, troubleshooting first line IT issues and escalating when required. You must be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner, following service level agreements and working to key performance indicators. You will also carry out technical monitoring of the company’s market leading OTT platform, including covering global, high profile live events.
Our client is also looking for Senior Application Support Technicians/Application Support Engineers to join the team where you will act as escalation point in the team and assist with mentoring and supporting the less experienced team members.
To be considered, it is key that you can demonstrate experience in providing first line application support for video streaming, OTT or cloud platforms, ideally AWS. Good working knowledge of monitoring tools is essential, as is service management ticketing tools and experience in writing basic SQL queries.
Any experience in a fast-past live broadcast environment would be highly advantageous and you must be able to work well under pressure.
A flexible work approach is also essential as you will be required to work on a shift rota including nights and weekends.
