A leading broadcaster has an excellent opportunity for multiple experienced MCR Operators to join their team based in London on a permanent or an initial 12-month fixed-term contract basis. You will be a pivotal team member involved in the day-to-day MCR and will be responsible for satellite downlinking, managing IP routing and preparing feeds for transmission, ensuring the smooth delivery of all transmitted content via satellite.
You will be responsible for lining up video and configuration of incoming audio, liaising with 3rd party suppliers and troubleshooting and escalating issues. You will also be routing and switching feeds, satellite dish positioning and decoding, monitor incoming feeds and manage IP contribution circuits.
Managing quick turnaround times of live events, it is essential that you can work well under pressure in a live environment as well as knowledge on MCR technology and ingest workflows. In addition, an understanding of video standards, audio and video timings, contribution standards with emphasis on live sport production would be advantageous.
It is vital that you have exceptional attention to detail and are self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work calmly under pressure within a busy live broadcast environment.
These positions will be working as part of a shift rota within a 24/7 broadcast environment, which will include nights, weekends and public holiday.
