A leading sports broadcasting company is currently looking to recruit a Broadcast Technician to join them on a permanent basis. Working as part of a close-knit team attending major sports events around the world you will be installing, commissioning, testing and operating communication systems that transfer video, audio and data signals.
Focused on the fibre optic ring at the events you will also be responsible for all related electronic equipment, general wiring and termination of cables, inspection and testing of systems and the rigging and de-rigging of equipment.
To be considered for this role applicants should have experience in either fibre optic installation and testing or as a Broadcast Technician working ideally in an outside broadcast environment or similar. Strong fault finding skills are essential as is experience of working within a team and building good working relationships with colleagues. Technical experience across electrical, electronic or fibre optic communication systems is also important as is some knowledge of ethernet networks, configuring switches and working within a hands-on role that has involved the installation, rigging and commissioning of equipment. Please note our client will also consider applicants from an armed forces background who have worked across communication systems previously.
This role involves extensive travel, therefore applicants must have a flexible working approach and be comfortable staying away from home for extended periods. Only candidates with a valid EU passport and EU driving licence can be considered.
