Job Description

We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an MCR Supervisor to join a market-leading digital sports content provider based in Northern Ireland.

As MCR Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the MCR including the implementation of new workflows, improving current processes, the roll out of training and ensuring that the department are providing excellent service at all times.

Your duties will include managing service-related incidents to ensure timely and successful resolutions which will involve communicating fault conditions internally as well as to customers and service providers. You will also manage weekly meetings, ensuring that reporting is to the highest standard as well as leading the roll out of new workflows and training plans for the team. 

To be considered for this role, you must have strong experience of working in an MCR environment with good knowledge of broadcast system standards and measurements such as SD/HD SDI, AES/EBU, MPEG/ASI, MPEG TsoIP, Dolby. You will also have knowledge of satellite RF systems and any exposure to TCP/IP multicasting is highly advantageous.

It is important that you have exceptional attention to detail, are self-motivated and have good ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure, within a busy fast-paced environment.

This position will be working as part of a shift rota within a 24/7 broadcast environment, which will include nights, weekends and public holidays.
