We have an excellent permanent job vacancy available for a highly experienced Growth Marketing Lead, to join a major global entertainment & sports broadcaster based in Qatar as part of a brand new OTT video streaming platform launch.
As Growth Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for setting the strategy for acquisition marketing and for designing and implementing performance marketing activities across all channels, aimed at growing the video platform’s subscriber base the across the MENA region.
As an expert in customer acquisition, you will have a data-driven approach and use market intelligence to drive subscriber growth, maximise output (scale of conversions) and efficiency (eCPS).
Working in close collaboration with data science and commercial analytics teams, you will plan, design, execute and measure acquisition-marketing campaigns to convert free users into paid subscribers, increase engagement and retention.
You will manage day-to-day campaigns and execution tactics based on performance, to maximise the ROI for ad spend. You will also develop, implement and refine retention marketing strategies to increase cross-sell / upsell opportunities and improve DAU, WAU and MAU.
Defining drip campaigns, you will ensure these take an omni-channel view of product features (internal ad tech), CRM and off-platform channels (programmatic, FB, partners and affiliates).
You will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience in running ads across Google, Facebook and mobile affiliates to acquire new users, with a particular focus on mobile marketing for app install campaigns. Strong knowledge of remarketing campaigns to re-engage with users, using platforms such as Criteo, will be vital.
Brainstorming new ways of segmenting potential customers and means of communication will be a key responsibility, along with devising quick test pilots to evaluate what works and doesn’t work in terms of relevant increased user traffic. You will define an effective communication personalisation strategy based on user behaviour and deploy optimisations based on frequency and monetary value.
Partnering with creative teams, you will prepare and align communication briefs for creative adaption and advise on compelling advertising copy (content and images) for a variety of channels. You will ensure all ad content is fresh, relevant and up-to-date in an ever-changing, competitive online advertising landscape.
You will own and build a strong unit for creative / copy testing, audience segmentation, ad placements, re-targeting and new channels to maximise full funnel performance.
Building an experimentation framework, you will conduct A/B experiments with clear success / failure metrics to improve funnel effectiveness and also provide feedback to Product teams on consumer journey-influencing experiments which can be turned into product features to broaden the funnels.
You will measure, assess and report on the performance of growth marketing campaigns against ROI and KPI goals.
Leading critical relationships with third parties, such as advertisement agencies, you will oversee the design, development and implementation of both mass and target group acquisition campaigns.
You will lead the Growth Marketing team and play a key role in mentoring, training and guiding team members, driving performance levels and maximising productivity and capabilities. You will also support HR teams in recruiting fresh talent.
Candidates must be open to full relocation to Qatar and have demonstrable experience in a Growth / Performance Marketing leadership role, having previously worked for a large, complex subscription-based business within the broadcast media, OTT streaming, entertainment or sports content industry.
You will have a strong track record of leading the development and delivery of customer acquisition marketing, mobile app led revenue retention and re-marketing campaigns at scale. You will also have a deep understanding of marketing channel management, omni-channel marketing, PPC (Pay Per Click), budget management and ROI (return on investment) measurement.
You will be an expert in applying data and research to support decision-making and drive subscriber acquisition, with a solid awareness of digital marketing tools, Google Analytics, A/B testing and the media landscape.
You will have excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, guide, coach and even challenge. You will be adept at building robust relationships, working collaboratively with different teams, prioritising workloads and multi-tasking.
Fluent (business-level) English and Arabic language skills are essential, along with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
