We are currently working with a leading broadcast technology company who have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This newly created role, which can be based remotely, will be people and process management focused, promoting excellence across the department and wider company at all times and with a goal of creating high performance teams.
Key responsibilities will include, creating a culture of continuos improvement and feedback, implementing processes which allow for the recruitment and ongoing development of industry best talent, creating opportunities for growth within the team to allow for career progression and ultimately creating a highly motivated and high performing team of engineers.
Additionally you will use metrics to continually look at process improvements with the aim of maximising value for the customer and company, work with other areas of the business to create a scalable infrastructure to cope with high demand when required and look at unblocking existing and potential bottle necks ensuring clear communication channels and shared ownership is in place.
Applicants should have a level of technical understanding, ideally with experience of agile software development environments and managing remote working teams. Exceptional leadership, delivery and planning skills are essential as is a passion for developing, coaching and mentoring people and creating working environments to enable this to happen. Excellent communication skills are also important (both written and oral) as is strong project management skills with proven experience in delivering projects in a highly technical and fast moving environment.
Any exposure to the broadcast/media industries would also be highly beneficial.
