Job Description

Our client is an international leading broadcast camera robotics solutions provider and is currently looking to recruit a Broadcast Customer Support Engineer to support their customer contracts.

The broadcast engineer will be responsible for pre and post sales support, including some travel across Germany carrying out service visits, installations, and training to customers.

The engineer can come from either a Live TV engineering background that is interested in moving into a customer support and projects role, or alternatively the engineer may already be working for a broadcast technology manufacturer or reseller performing a similar customer support engineering role.

The engineer must be familiar with video and broadcast equipment standards, ideally with some knowledge of IT networking with an understanding of IP workflows and video formats.  Any experience in electro-mechanical, professional broadcast cameras or camera robotics equipment from pan/tilt roll to motion control robots will be of real interest.

Full training will be given across all products, so it is not essential to have specific camera robotic experience, as broadcast engineers from Live TV production with good video, IP and networking will have transferable experience.

The successful candidate must be fluent in German and English, with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to work.  The role will involve travel to customer sites and to head office for conducting initial training sessions.  Monday-Friday working hours with ad hoc occasional weekend working to support customers and a one in four weeks on call allowance will be provided.
