A leading broadcast services company is looking to hire a Broadcast Solutions Engineer to join them on a 12 month fixed-term contract. Working in this busy project engineering role, you will be required to design, procure and install broadcast and IT systems for both internal and external clients. Candidates will be required to manage projects from initial inception to completion, ensuring all system documentation is up to date. You will be involved in feasibility reporting, procurement and bill of materials as well as putting together system designs and installation of broadcast equipment.
A broadcast engineering background is key as well as a candidate who can demonstrate strong technical capabilities with video compression, encoding, decoding and networking. An excellent understanding of the live transmission chain within a broadcast environment is required as is experience of IP video protocols, particularly SMPTE 2110 and NDI. Candidates who have been involved in web streaming services would be highly desirable as would those who have previously delivered projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain a route into project management whilst remaining hands-on. Hybrid working can be considered.
