We are currently recruiting for an exciting permanent Engineering Manager position with a leading media and entertainment technology solutions company based in the North London/Hertfordshire area. This well established company haven a proven track record of providing high quality technical solutions to the broadcast, post production and film industries and partner with a wide range of leading manufacturers.
This key role for the company will combine hands on engineering with department and team management and will be responsible for career and technical skills development, pre-sales support for the Sales team, customer relationship building and liaison with technical management and support personnel from key suppliers. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for maintaining the quality of all engineering department output, from pre-sales to commissioning and support. Additionally, they will manage projects, allocate resources, identify and mitigate risks and serve as the main customer interface for progress updates and escalations.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in broadcast/media systems engineering with a good knowledge across file based workflows, transcoding, media management systems with knowledge of the cloud, AV or IT networking being highly beneficial. You will need to be highly motivated and proactive with strong communication skills and posses excellent problem-solving abilities. People management skills with previous experience managing a support and/or projects environment is ideal.
There will be a degree of flexibility around hybrid working although you candidates will need to love within a commutable distance of the office.
