Service Desk Engineer (Remote, Los Angeles)

Christy Media are working with a company that designs and supports tailored media workflow solutions, empowering creative industries. 

About the Role

This remote position is based in Los Angeles, with occasional on-site client visits. You’ll be the first point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal system performance. Travel outside the region may be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and support MacOS, Windows, SAN/NAS, RAID, networking, and servers.
  • Assist with creative workflows like video editing and media asset management (MAM).
  • Proactively monitor client systems for performance and uptime.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers on deployments and integrations.
  • Guide users through issue resolution and escalate complex issues as needed.
    Qualifications
  • 1+ year in system/network administration or IT-related Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience directly supporting end users.
    Preferred:
  • Interest in creative workflows (video, photography, audio).
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, scripting, Python, or cloud technologies.
