You’ll play a leading role in designing, implementing, and managing cutting-edge IP-based infrastructure to support research teams. You’ll have a unique and exciting role with responsibilities ranging from taking ownership of technical design, delivering operational excellence, driving the adoption of advanced IP video and audio technologies, and ensuring continual improvement across the entire signal chain, from acquisition to distribution.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure system availability and performance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and incident response.
  • Lead technical design and implementation of critical infrastructure projects.
  • Serve as the escalation point for technical issues, collaborating with vendors to resolve complex problems.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to meet future research needs.
  • Manage site upgrades and ensure operational stability.
  • Support research teams by addressing unique technical needs.
  • Maintain facility documentation and oversee supplier/integrator coordination for projects.
  • Act as Engineer in Charge (EIC) for high-profile events.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Expertise in IP video/audio (2022-6/7, ST2110, Dante, AES67) and baseband video/analog audio.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking (IGMP, DNS, DHCP, routing, L2 encryption).
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and experience with packet inspection tools.
  • Experience with broadcast systems such as EVS IPDirector, Ross switchers, Evertz Routing & Glue, and contribution encoders. Familiarity with digital video codecs and internet streaming is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communicator for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative team player with proactive initiative in addressing technology gaps.
  • Passionate about innovation in broadcast technology.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for facility documentation is advantageous.
