Our client is a global technology group behind several market-leading brands used by media & entertainment professionals. With a strong focus on engineering excellence, innovation, and international growth, the group operates across 16 global locations and employs approx. 1,000 people worldwide.
We are recruiting for an experienced IT Director to take ownership of group-wide IT infrastructure, technology strategy, and future systems evolution. Reporting to the COO, this is a pivotal role in aligning internal systems with the broader commercial and operational ambitions of the business.
You’ll lead a distributed team of IT managers and service partners, managing day-to-day operations while shaping the long-term IT roadmap across the organisation. The scope includes oversight of security and compliance frameworks, and continued adoption of cloud platforms and business systems (including Epicor and Microsoft Azure environments).
This role would suit someone commercially astute and delivery-focused, who is confident balancing leadership with hands-on oversight. Prior experience working in a multi-site technology or engineering manufacturing-led business - particularly one with PE involvement.
- Lead the design and execution of global IT and digital strategy
- Ensure operational performance of core infrastructure and systems
- Manage IT risk, governance, and security frameworks (Cyber Essentials)
- Support technology integration during acquisitions
- Identify and assess emerging technologies for future adoption
- Build relationships across group businesses and external stakeholders
- Oversee budget, vendors, and key third-party platforms
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT leadership role across a multi-site or international business
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
- Familiarity with security frameworks (Cyber Essentials / ISO standards)
- Confident leading cross-functional teams and managing external partners
- Able to communicate technical ideas clearly at both operational and exec level
- Commercial awareness and adaptability to support business change
