Job Description

Business Development Manager – Media & Broadcast Connectivity

Location: Norwich, Cambridge or London (UK)
Hybrid / Field-based | UK travel required

I’m working with a fast-growing, specialist connectivity provider that is transforming how media and broadcast organisations deliver live content globally. This business is at the forefront of next-generation Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology, partnering with leading providers to enable high-performance, low-latency connectivity anywhere in the world.

They are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to grow their Media & Broadcast vertical and help customers move away from legacy connectivity towards modern, agile solutions built for today’s live production demands.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who understands the real-world pressures of live broadcasting, OB, live events, and remote production, and who enjoys taking new technology to market.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership to:

  • Develop new business across broadcasters, production companies, OB providers, live events and digital content creators
  • Position LEO satellite connectivity as a strategic enabler, not just another network option
  • Build long-term relationships with customers planning major productions and events
  • Help shape tailored solutions ranging from OB truck connectivity to global, hybrid production environments

This is a highly visible role with genuine influence as the media and broadcast division continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline within media, broadcast and live events
  • Lead conversations with organisations still reliant on congested or unreliable legacy networks
  • Clearly articulate the benefits of modern LEO connectivity versus traditional satellite and cellular solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to design the right solution for each customer

Client Engagement

  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships and become a go-to advisor for live production connectivity
  • Understand customer workflows and challenges and map technology solutions accordingly
  • Keep clients informed of new capabilities, roadmap developments and evolving solutions

Market & Industry Presence

  • Stay close to trends across broadcast, streaming, OB and cloud-based production
  • Track changes in production models, remote workflows and latency requirements
  • Represent the business at key industry events such as IBC, NAB, MPTS and major live productions

Travel

  • UK travel for customer meetings, live events and occasional head office visits

Background & Experience

  • Experience within broadcast, media production, OB, live events or a closely related environment
  • Strong understanding of live workflows and field connectivity challenges
  • Ability to confidently explain modern connectivity concepts (LEO vs traditional satellite / cellular)
  • Proven track record in business development, account growth and deal closure
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business

Personal Profile

  • Commercially driven, self-motivated and excited by new technology
  • Curious, forward-thinking and solutions-oriented
  • Strong relationship builder who enjoys working closely with customers
  • Thrives in environments where innovation, pace and delivery matter

Why This Role?

  • Work with cutting-edge LEO satellite technology that is changing live production
  • Join a business that is genuinely reshaping connectivity in media and broadcast
  • Opportunity to influence strategy and growth within a specialist division
  • Exposure to major broadcasters, live events and international productions
