Job Description
Our client is seeking to hire Trainee Broadcast Engineers to join their in-house projects team and embark on an exciting career supporting major events and outside broadcast units within horse racing. You will be fully trained and will work closely with the projects team in order to play a crucial role in ensuring the success of their projects and providing support during high-profile festivals and events.
Responsibilities:
- Shadow Project Engineers and technicians who oversee the planning, rigging, and technical support of major festivals and events throughout the year.
- Learn and apply skills on providing guidance and first-line support to national operational teams.
- Assist in the management of internally run projects and contribute to their success.
- Help to ensure seamless team collaboration and effective vendor management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and system maintenance efforts.
Requirements:
- Strong base knowledge of broadcast workflows
- Willingness to learn and strong attention to detail
- Any previous exposure of knowledge of remote production workflows and broadcast technologies/systems (e.g., BT Vena, SDI, IP, Dante, Madi, JPEG XS) with be highly advantageous
- Technical degree or hands on practical experience within broadcast engineering or technical positions.
- Driving licence is essential
This is a full time, permanent role based in South West London. Hours will be 9-5 Monday to Friday, with the expectation of working on site with clients when necessary
