Key Responsibilities:
- Mix and EQ sound sources, monitor outputs, adjust levels, and ensure top-tier audio quality.
- Balance creative direction with technical capabilities to maintain the highest production standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot audio equipment, working closely with floor managers and MCR teams.
- Adapt to a fast-paced newsroom environment, responding efficiently to technical challenges and last-minute changes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of broadcast sound systems, formats, and gallery etiquette.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sound Supervisor in a live television studio environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern sound systems, audio theory, and broadcast talkback.
- A keen ear for audio quality and the ability to make real-time adjustments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced news gallery setting.
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work a 24-hour shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
