About the Role

This role plays a key part in driving growth by maximizing customer relationships and is responsible for achieving a Gross Profit (GP) target.

Additionally, this role requires strong collaboration skills to partner with various departments across the business, including Marketing, Sales Support, and Commercial, to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of the target industry.

The Account Development team is responsible for introducing new lines of business to clients, ensuring they are aware of and utilizing the full range of specialized products and services. This maximizes the lifetime value of customers, helping them stay at the forefront of technology and workflow innovation.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Account Development: Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, identifying new opportunities to upsell and cross-sell IT products and services.
  • Achieve GP Targets: Meet and exceed individual GP targets through effective account management and business development activities.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about trends, emerging technologies, and challenges within the relevant industry, as well as competitor activities and market conditions, to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition process for clients.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills. Stay current with vendor training resources and certifications.

 

Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience: Proven experience in account development or sales within the media and entertainment (M&E) industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and achieving individual GP goals.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the relevant market and associated products, with the ability to interpret workflow requirements and translate them to the company’s portfolio, with support from the wider team.
  • Analytical: Ability to analyze market trends and data to make informed business decisions.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-Centric: Strong focus on customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
