Full Stack Software Developer – Norway

I’m currently working on behalf of a global technology company that is looking to hire an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join their development team in Arendal, Norway.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and highly skilled engineering environment, contributing across the full development lifecycle—from design and development through to implementation and maintenance of innovative technology solutions.

The Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you will work as part of an experienced development team delivering scalable software products. While collaboration within the team is key, the role also requires the ability to take ownership of projects and work independently from concept through to delivery.

You will be involved in building new solutions while also improving and evolving existing platforms. The technology environment includes Linux-based systems with modern development stacks across both front-end and backend services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop client applications using TypeScript for deployment across a wide range of screen-based platforms

  • Build scalable backend services using Kotlin and NodeJS

  • Work within microservice architectures, focusing on security and authentication

  • Manage message exchange and maintain data consistency using Kafka

  • Process and analyse large-scale datasets (Big Data)

  • Design and manage NoSQL database structures for high-volume data environments

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery

  • Support the design and maintenance of infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Contribute to ongoing product development and technical improvements

Skills & Experience

  • Strong curiosity for new technologies and modern development practices

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, hands-on approach

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Capable of working both independently and within a team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience

  • Experience with technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, or NodeJS

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, microservices, and modern development workflows is beneficial

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, although relevant industry experience will also be considered
