CEO / Managing Director - Global Sports Broadcast Media & Major Live Sports Events Production
Christy Media has been exclusively retained to appoint a CEO / Managing Director for Host Broadcast Services (HBS), a global leader in sports media production and host broadcasting.
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most influential organisations in global sport, responsible for the delivery of major international events including FIFA World Cups, Rugby World Cups, World Athletics Championships, and leading global leagues.
The role
Reporting to the board, the CEO / MD will take full responsibility for the strategic, commercial, and operational leadership of the business, guiding HBS into its next phase of growth, innovation, and global delivery.
This includes:
- Leading global operations across a complex, event-driven environment
- Driving commercial strategy and diversification of revenue streams
- Managing senior stakeholder relationships across federations, partners, and suppliers
- Overseeing delivery of major international sporting events
- Leading and developing a high-performing global leadership team
The profile
We are seeking a proven executive leader with:
- Experience operating at CEO / MD or divisional leadership level
- A strong understanding of the global sports media, broadcast, or major events ecosystem
- Credibility across federations, broadcasters, and industry partners
- The ability to operate across both strategic and operational environments
Location
Europe-based, with flexibility on location. Significant international travel required.
