Job Description

Overview:

An exciting opportunity for a talented and organized Engineering Manager to join a dynamic team in the broadcast media industry. The role involves supporting and maintaining broadcast and production facilities, managing engineering teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of data-rich graphics and other media services for high-profile events and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee broadcast and production equipment at the New Jersey HQ and on-location.
  • Manage and schedule engineering personnel, including freelancers, and ensure adequate resource allocation for client projects.
  • Provide 1st line support for office and network infrastructure and liaise with external service providers as needed.
  • Develop budgets, forecast resource needs, and manage capital expenditures.
  • Lead technical operations and ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, offering technical expertise and fostering strong partnerships.
  • Mentor and train engineering staff to ensure their professional growth and performance excellence.
  • Participate in senior management meetings, contributing to strategic decisions and process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in broadcast engineering, with expertise in production and graphics systems such as Vizrt, Chyron Prime, Ross Xpression, and Unreal Engine.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow diverse teams, manage complex schedules, and handle high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
  • Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and resource management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, with no relocation offered for this role.
