Job Description
We are currently working with a leading video technology company to recruit a Senior Software Engineer with strong Linux and C++ development skills to join their growing R&D team on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will work with emerging broadcast technologies and leverage the latest embedded-compute platforms. You will focus on the development and innovation of new solutions from product specification to implementation and validation, playing a pivotal role across the entire software stack, from crafting high-level software to fine-tuning Linux device drivers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product specifications into actionable plans, designing and developing high-quality, reusable software solutions. Furthermore, staying abreast of emerging broadcast technologies will be essential as you seamlessly integrate them into the company's solutions, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation in the industry.
Applicants should have a proven background in software development with a high level of proficiency in C++ (minimum C++11) being essential. Additionally, candidates should possess strong Linux development skills and a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles. Familiarity with software development best practices, including design reviews, coding standards, and source control management, is also required.
Additional beneficial experience includes Linux distribution building, Linux Kernel configuration, developing Linux device drivers, C++17, Python, knowledge of networking including TCP/IP routing and multicast, AWS, experience with Qt and designing and working with RESTful interfaces.
