Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a QA Automation Engineer to join a leading provider of a VPaaS (Video Platform as a Service) who serve some of the most successful brands in TV, media, and sports globally.
As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll drive the adoption and management of automated testing across their diverse range of frontend applications (apps for Apple, Android, Roku, connected TV platforms), websites, and APIs. You'll build test automation infrastructure from scratch, develop and maintain test scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is addressed throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build test automation infrastructure for supported platforms.
- Develop, design, and enhance automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality during the delivery process.
- Implement API automation for backend systems using relevant tools.
- Document automated test results and report bugs with detailed information.
- Conduct manual and exploratory testing to understand product functionality.
- Expand and scale automation coverage to more complex features.
- Work closely with the QA Manager as a point of escalation and provide input for all QA-related activities.
Essential Capabilities & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and automation tools (Appium, Selenium, Playwright).
- Proficiency in API automation (Postman, Runscope) and scripting/programming languages (JavaScript, Python).
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, GitHub).
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive mindset, team player, and strong communication skills.
Desired Capabilities & Experience:
- Experience in video streaming and/or media sectors.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS.
