What you'll be doing:

• Leadership and Team Growth: Cultivate and lead a proficient team of developers, both front-end and back-end, fostering a collaborative and productive atmosphere. Provide consistent guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities to team members.
• Strategic Direction: Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to shape the technical direction and roadmaps for our cloud-based sports data products. Prioritize development initiatives based on business objectives, technical feasibility, and market demand.
• Project Oversight: Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects within established timelines and budgets. Implement agile methodologies to enhance adaptability and efficiency in project management.
• Technical Supervision: Ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of our cloud solutions. Offer guidance on architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and oversee the integration of new technologies and methodologies.
• Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent quality standards for our software products through comprehensive testing, continuous integration, and deployment strategies. Foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the team.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact between the development team and other departments, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Regularly update senior management on project progress and hurdles.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 5 years experience in software development with 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading remote teams across time zones, with proficiency in navigating scheduling and project management across global teams.
• Technical background in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP), with proficiency in web development and building scalable architecture.
• Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies and frameworks: eg. JavaScript, React, Node.js and C#.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and software development best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a strong background in motivating and guiding teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Passion for sports (football, cricket, etc) is ideal.
