Job Description
As NOC Engineer, your duties will include QC and integrity checks of all incoming and outgoing video/audio signals, communicating faults to engineering support staff & customers, & undertaking routine testing and maintenance of transmission equipment and operating Master Control switchers.
You will also be responsible for providing technical advice and assistance across studios, lines and live operations and coordinating services with customers, satellite operators and 3rd party providers.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have strong experience of working within a Network Operations Center, a familiarity with broadcast system standards and waveform measurements and a good working knowledge of RF, uplink, multiplex, encoding and conditional access systems, video routers, talkback units and video monitoring systems.
A flexible work approach is required as this is a shift-based role working in a 24/7 environment on a rota of 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends.
