Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer with experience in FPGA or DSP technologies to join an innovative team designing cutting-edge, low-latency, and high-accuracy audio systems that enhance live performance experiences.

The role offers the successful candidate the chance to work on innovative projects, developing audio engines and algorithms for next-generation audio systems.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of audio engine design, creating and developing processing features for audio consoles, racks, and processors. You’ll design advanced audio effects, routing solutions, and bespoke communication protocols, applying your expertise to deliver exceptional performance. Your work will involve writing clear, high-quality code and testing your designs with industry-standard verification libraries, while also contributing to hardware development, including electronics design, system architecture, and IC selection. Collaboration will be key as you document interfaces, protocols, and designs to ensure clarity and maintainability across the team, driving the creation of industry-leading audio solutions.

We’re seeking a talented individual experience in firmware development, whether that’s in FPGA/ASIC or DSP technologies. Proficiency in VHDL is essential, along with a solid understanding of digital signal processing, high-speed digital design, and embedded systems. A strong knowledge of serial communication protocols, such as I2C, SPI, UART, or I2S, and digital audio interfaces is also required.

Familiarity with Dante, AES67, or networking technologies like Ethernet and IP would be a significant advantage, as would experience using Xilinx FPGA tools such as Vivado or ISE. An understanding of digital audio, mixing consoles, or audio effects design is highly desirable, along with skills in C/C++, SHARC DSP assembly, or U-Boot/Linux/Yocto development.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication abilities are crucial, as is the capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team. Above all, a passion for audio technology and a keen interest in FPGA or DSP engineering will set you apart.

For the right candidate who has the development skills and expereince in audio technologies visa sponsorship is possible and candidates will need to be happy with a hybrid working setup with three days a week in the office.
