Lead Data Scientist – Personalisation & Recommendations

We’re hiring a Lead Data Scientist to shape how millions of users discover content on a large-scale video streaming platform.

You’ll lead the development of recommendation and personalisation models, working closely with engineers, product managers, and fellow data scientists across international teams. This is a hands-on role covering everything from feature creation and experimentation through to production deployment — with opportunities to work on foundation models and reinforcement learning.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and evolve recommendation and personalisation models

• Develop and deploy ML solutions at scale (real-time and batch)

• Work with deep learning, graph-based methods, and GenAI technologies

• Partner cross-functionally to turn complex data into real product impact

• Influence technical direction and mentor other data scientists

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in machine learning or applied data science

• Deep learning expertise (TensorFlow), plus Python, SQL, and PySpark

• Experience deploying ML on Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, Kubeflow, Airflow)

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
