Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer with experience of the broadcast/media sector to join a major media organisation based in Qatar as their Manager – Legal Affairs & Contracts where you'll oversee critical legal functions, ensuring compliance, managing contracts, and providing strategic legal guidance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contract Management: Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of key contracts (service agreements, licensing, non-disclosure agreements, etc.), ensuring clarity, enforceability, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Legal Affairs: Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate matters, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage intellectual property assets.
  • Corporate Governance: Support the Board of Directors and ensure ethical standards are upheld across the organization.
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the organization’s long-term business strategy, ensuring alignment with legal objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing legal team, ensuring efficient delivery of legal services and compliance.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law with 10+ years of experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance gained from a leading broadcast/media/film organization. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and high commercial awareness.
  • Fluency in English
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle complex legal challenges under pressure.
