A leading broadcast services company is looking for an MCR Operator to join them on a permanent basis. Working within a busy Master / Satellite control room this will be a hands-on role coordinating resources and supporting the company's occassional use services for their event based business. As part of this role you will be responsible for signal routing, fibre & satellite transmissions as well as providing first line support, acting upon client requests and responding quickly and efficiently to queries. Part of your role will also involve client liaison, bookings and traffic coordination, logging work details for costing purposes.

To be considered for this role, it is important that candidates demonstrate a good understanding of baseband video, MPEG4/MPEG2 relating to fibre and satellite transmissions and an understanding of IP video streaming technology. Previous experience of working within a hands-on MCR / Operations environment is key, as is an understanding of playout workflows along with RF and satellite distribution. To succeed in this role it is important that candidates can work well under pressure and be eager to learn and resolve problems.
