Job Description

Our client, a technical facility provider at the heart of live sports broadcasting are looking for an OB Engineer to join their workforce on a full time, permanent basis. 

This is a multi faceted position and will include the monitoring and support of video and audio signal quality, camera racking, communications, links, rigging, testing, establishing external feeds, troubleshooting, HD-SDI, and electrical supply systems.

Key requirements & responsibilities:

• Strong technical understanding of outside broadcast workflows and proven experience of supporting clients during live programming.
• Strong background in IT and comfortable with routing, using, and fixing an IP address.
• Hands-on experience out in the field with a working knowledge of fixing and troubleshooting equipment using work tools (soldering iron; crimper; etc.)
• Supporting the senior engineer and unit manager on site during live broadcasts

This position is open to candidates from varied experience levels based in the North East, Midlands or South of the UK.
