Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for skilled and motivated Broadcast Engineers, from Junior through to Senior level, to join a fast-paced, live television broadcaster based in London.

As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted broadcast operations by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will support both remote and on-site broadcast technology, contribute to project work, and maintain high standards of technical documentation and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to live broadcasts.

  • Provide on-site support for broadcast equipment, systems, and associated technologies, diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues in real-time.

  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.

  • Support outside broadcasts and live events as required.

  • Collaborate with staff, stakeholders, and vendors to resolve technical and workflow challenges.

  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions, and equipment configurations.

  • Contribute to the creation and updating of technical documentation.

  • Be available for on-call support during critical broadcasts or system failures, responding quickly to restore service.

  • Participate in research and project work to support technical innovation.

  • Uphold health and safety standards and promote equality and diversity values.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in broadcast or MCR (Master Control Room) engineering who are keen to further develop their technical skills within a dynamic media environment. Any exposure to live studio engineering and familiarity with a range of broadcast technologies would be ideal, including experience with graphics systems, cameras, vision and audio mixers, and NDI/IP networking.

Strong general IT skills are also important, as is the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and workflows. Additionally, a proactive approach to learning and an enthusiasm to taking on new challenges is essential.

You will need to be comfortable working shifts, including early starts and late finishes, as well as weekend working (no overnight shifts).

If you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful and you are fully eligible to work in the UK, then please apply now.
