Job Description

A leading media and broadcast technology organization is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support and maintain its critical video routing infrastructure. The role focuses on IP-based and legacy routing systems to ensure uninterrupted broadcast operations across live and studio environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for video router systems, handling configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Support and manage IP-based video routing systems, specifically Evertz 2110.

  • Provide advanced support for legacy routing platforms such as Miranda/Grass Valley systems (e.g., NVISION, Trinix).

  • Configure routing paths for new studios, equipment, and live transmission chains.

  • Troubleshoot complex signal flow issues in a live, deadline-driven environment.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, production staff, and vendors.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and support procedures.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical system support.

  • (Preferred) Support and configure Lawo VSM control systems.

  • Contribute to system upgrades, preventive maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.


Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Evertz 2110 IP routing systems, including design, configuration, and operational troubleshooting.

  • Deep understanding of legacy routing platforms such as Miranda/Grass Valley (NVISION, Trinix).

  • Strong technical knowledge of video/audio standards, IP media transport protocols (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110, 2022-6/7), and PTP timing.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve high-impact technical issues under pressure.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.

  • Self-starter with attention to detail and a high level of technical acumen.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Lawo VSM LSB control systems.

  • Certifications in Evertz, Grass Valley, or similar broadcast technologies.

  • Experience with IP networking concepts relevant to media transport.

  • Knowledge of Dante audio-over-IP systems and broadcast automation tools.
