Job Description

Are you a technically skilled, hands-on engineer ready to work at the heart of live international events? We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable Track Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team, delivering precision technology in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a close-knit engineering team responsible for the setup, deployment, and operation of advanced data acquisition systems at elite-level motorsport events held across the globe. This is a rare opportunity to work in a live, high-stakes broadcast environment where precision and reliability are everything.

From installing sensors and timing systems directly into track surfaces to commissioning and fault-finding complex electronic and networking equipment, your work will be central to the success of live event operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain timing loops, beacons, and temperature sensors in track surfaces

  • Commission and support department hardware/software systems at events

  • Troubleshoot electronic, network, and data systems in live environments

  • Install, test, and terminate coaxial and multi-core data cables

  • Support and occasionally lead operational activities on-site

  • Maintain detailed fault logs, reports, and equipment manifests

  • Assist with system planning and liaise with clients and stakeholders

  • Travel globally, working outdoors in various climates

What You’ll Need

  • Solid understanding of electrical/electronic systems, including CAN protocols

  • Experience with wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and report writing

  • Familiarity with PC/network equipment, TCP/IP, and RF-based systems

  • Hands-on skills: soldering, loom building, cable termination, basic mechanical work

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management abilities

  • Comfortable performing under pressure in time-critical broadcast environments

  • A UK driving license and ability to travel extensively (1–3 weeks at a time)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Knowledge of motorsport telemetry, RF fundamentals, or live data systems

  • Experience working in live sports, events, or field engineering roles

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, challenge, and working in a high-performance team. If you love tech, travel, and solving problems in the real world, we want to hear from you.

Apply now to become part of an elite technical team delivering precision under pressure — on a truly global stage.
