POSITION OVERVIEW

The Head of Operations – North America will lead and optimize operational strategy across supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and professional services. This individual will ensure that global processes and KPIs are effectively adapted to the North American market while driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the General Manager, North America, this position is based in the United States (preferred: Los Angeles or another major U.S. city).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the regional operational growth strategy aligned with global objectives.

  • Develop and track KPIs to monitor performance and drive improvement.

  • Represent North America within global operations governance and cross-functional planning.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.

  • Manage U.S. manufacturing partnerships and ensure adherence to global quality standards.

  • Lead local implementation of ERP, CRM, and service management tools (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Zendesk).

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Build the U.S. supply chain strategy and manage vendor, freight, and distributor relationships.

  • Optimize lead times, cost efficiency, and delivery accuracy.

  • Negotiate contracts with North American suppliers and service partners.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing U.S. operations team.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, ITAR, RoHS).

  • Maintain strong quality assurance processes across manufacturing and supply partners.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to maintain high production standards.

Cross-Border Collaboration

  • Represent North America in global strategic and operational forums.

  • Adapt global processes to local needs while sharing regional insights and best practices.

Professional Services

  • Lead and enhance professional services delivery, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.

  • Drive customer improvement initiatives and feedback loops between U.S. operations and global teams.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of operational leadership, ideally within electronics or hardware manufacturing.

  • Proven experience scaling U.S. operations for a global technology company.

  • Strong understanding of logistics, manufacturing, and compliance within U.S. markets.

  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, P&L, and continuous improvement programs.

  • Expertise with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and data analytics tools.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence frameworks.

  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.


TRAVEL

  • Domestic: 30–40% (manufacturing, suppliers, and customer sites)

  • Occasional international travel to global headquarters and facilities (5–10%)
