Senior Hardware Designer | High-Performance Electronics | Montreal (Hybrid)
We are working on a Senior Hardware Designer opportunity with a leading global engineering organisation developing advanced electronic systems used in complex, high-performance environments.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys deep technical ownership across the full hardware lifecycle, from architecture and board-level design through to FPGA development, validation, and lab testing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and developing high-speed digital hardware systems
- Working across board-level design, FPGA/CPLD development, and system integration
- Supporting PCB layout with a focus on signal integrity and EMC performance
- Writing technical documentation, test plans, and design specifications
- Hands-on debugging and prototype validation in the lab
What they’re looking for:
- 5–15 years’ experience in hardware / electronics design
- Strong FPGA (VHDL) and embedded systems exposure
- Solid understanding of signal integrity and EMC considerations
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g. Altium, OrCAD, PADS)
- Comfortable working independently in a senior-level role
- Bilingual French & English essential
- Based in Montreal
- Hybrid working model (with onsite time for lab/testing activities)
