We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join a leading media services company based in West London, specializing in delivering broadcast, streaming, and on-demand content for high-profile global clients.
As an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Platform and Infrastructure solutions, leveraging sysadmin level expertise in Linux, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Additionally, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support, conducting corrective maintenance as required. Proactive preventive maintenance, facilitated by automated deployment mechanisms like Terraform, is crucial for ensuring continuous system operation.
Ideal candidates should demonstrate proven experience in network and system administration, spanning projects and support roles. Exceptional troubleshooting skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to tackling issues and driving projects to completion. Proficiency in deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, coupled with strong UNIX administration skills, is also important as is familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure Administration across platforms like Azure and AWS and a solid understanding of server security fundamentals and best practices.
Experience working with large-scale production networks, configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure, and maintaining virtualization clusters is preferred. Knowledge of Ansible is advantageous.
Candidates should also be well-versed in ITIL and Service Management principles, with exposure to platforms supporting on-demand, streaming, or broadcast services considered a significant advantage.
This role operates Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working arrangement split between remote work and on-site presence at the company's West London office.
