The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in live broadcast engineering, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of computer networking and broadcast systems. You’ll play a key role in supervising and supporting a team of freelance engineers, ensuring seamless technical operations, particularly during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical support for up to 15 concurrent live remote sporting broadcasts daily.

  • Troubleshoot and manage complex video/audio workflows and signal paths.

  • Operate and maintain production systems, including Vizrt, Chyron, Ross graphics, video servers, and SDI routing equipment.

  • Supervise freelance engineers on-site, managing scheduling and training.

  • Coordinate quality control, resolve on-air issues in real time, and perform system upgrades and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in live broadcast engineering.

  • In-depth knowledge of studio and remote production systems.

  • Strong IP/networking skills and experience with storage systems and virtual environments.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain client-facing professionalism.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and broadcast documentation, such as elevation and wiring diagrams.

Ideal Attributes:

  • Strong IT and technical acumen.

  • Client-focused, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity for a broadcast engineer ready to contribute to industry-leading productions. If you’re passionate about technology, live events, and collaborative problem-solving, we want to hear from you.
