Job Description
An urgent 12-month contract opportunity exists for a Platform Controller to provide first line support specifically for distribution IT platforms for a major broadcaster.
The main responsibilities will include:
- maintaining a working understanding of the client's video platforms
- Quality Assurance of video content on a range of devices, apps & products: often working to a schedule and prioritising checking activity based on release dates and times
- Create accurate & comprehensive reports based on activity & findings
- provide comprehensive status updates during launches & key content moments
- Be aware of the potential impact of planned maintenance and proactively monitor potentially affected systems while work is going on and report unforeseen symptoms.
The ideal candidate will have a background in an IT service desk environment who is committed to being on site at the client's office in West London. An understanding of incident reporting and escalating issues as well as excellent communication skills, is a must! The role could also be suitable for a recent graduate who has experience within an IT environment!
This role is based fully on site, Monday - Friday at the client offices in West London. Please note the salary listed is based on an hourly rate and this role sits INSIDE IR35.
