Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Broadcast Production Technology Manager to join a successful live television broadcast organisation based in London.

With a focus on the technologies that deliver live television broadcast production, as the Production Technology Manager, you will lead and manage the Broadcast Support Engineering team while also acting as a Senior Project Engineer.

As the Manager of the engineering team, you will work closely with the Head of Technology to set team targets and standards, ensuring the highest level of technical support is provided to the business. You will also serve as a technical expert internally, acting as an escalation point for technical issues when required, and helping to develop the less experienced engineers on the team.

In projects, you will oversee the technical planning, implementation, and delivery of broadcast technology projects of varying sizes, durations, and complexities. You will work closely with internal teams, including broadcast operations, production, and technology teams, to ensure project requirements are defined, key deliverables are clearly set, and project plans are developed to outline timelines and resource needs. You will also research emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring the business remains technologically competitive in the industry.

Candidates should have a proven background in broadcast engineering, with experience leading or managing engineers and delivering projects across live television production and/or outside broadcast environments. You should be well-versed in the latest equipment and techniques used in live studio and television productions, including cameras, switchers, audio equipment, and graphics systems, with a solid knowledge of IP networking and its applications in broadcast technology.

Excellent communication skills are also important, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure. This is a Monday-to-Friday role based on-site at their London HQ, but flexibility around hours may be required at times.

If you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role and you are fully eligible to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship, please apply now for consideration.
