Job Description

Our client, a leading media and broadcast organisation is seeking a skilled Presentation Scheduler to join them on a 6 month contract. This role is focused on Presentation Scheduling and break optimisation across a portfolio of international entertainment and sports channels.

The Scheduler will work closely with Programme Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Production teams, alongside in-house Operations, Compliance, Live On-Air, and Transmission departments, to deliver accurate, optimised, and compliant playlists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare mid-term programme schedules, ensuring accuracy for press and publicity use.

  • Build and optimise break structures, including support for live event scheduling.

  • Deliver accurate and compliant daily playlists, collaborating with central and regional teams.

  • Schedule on-air branding, placement graphics, and legal/commercial requirements.

  • Work with Operations and Transmission teams to resolve technical scheduling issues.

  • Support live event broadcasts with contingency playlists and updates as needed.

  • Respond quickly to programming changes, rights updates, and late changes to content.

  • Execute playlist updates and manual adjustments in line with broadcast procedures.

  • Contribute to wider team projects and provide scheduling support where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in on-air scheduling within a broadcast environment.

  • Proficiency with scheduling systems such as What’s On (or similar).

  • Strong understanding of the broadcast chain and presentation scheduling processes.

  • Knowledge of break optimisation and inventory management.

  • Familiarity with European broadcast regulations (e.g. Ofcom).

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and make decisions under pressure.

  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Interest in live broadcasting or sports scheduling is an advantage.
