Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Broadcast Operations Engineer to join a leading international media and broadcast organisation. This role will see you supporting broadcast systems across multiple UK and international sites, ensuring the seamless delivery of TV, radio, and digital services.
Working as part of a global engineering team, you’ll provide both proactive maintenance and reactive technical support, helping to keep critical broadcast operations running smoothly. The position will involve occasional travel , both within the UK and overseas , sometimes at short notice.
This is a hands-on technical role within a fast-paced broadcast environment, ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being at the heart of live and on-demand media delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Support all technical systems and workflows for production, broadcast, and transmission operations.

Provide first and second-line support for linear and non-linear broadcast workflows across IP and baseband environments.

Assist with live event and outside broadcast operations where required.

Proactively identify improvements and efficiencies within broadcast and IT systems.

Maintain accurate documentation and implement best-practice maintenance procedures.

Collaborate closely with operational and engineering colleagues across multiple sites.

Contribute to project work, upgrades, and system rollouts as part of wider team initiatives.

Participate in an on-call rota providing out-of-hours support.
About You
You’ll bring a strong foundation in broadcast, IT, or transmission engineering, with the confidence to support critical systems in a live environment. You’ll be methodical, adaptable, and a natural communicator — able to work collaboratively across teams and with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience supporting broadcast, IT, or transmission systems in a live or operational setting.

Confident communicating technical information clearly and effectively.

Willingness to travel and work flexibly as required.

Full manual UK driving licence and valid passport.
