We have an exciting opportunity working with a leading broadcast organisation who are looking to hire a Lead Automation Director to join their production team.

This is a senior position combining hands-on directing with leadership, workflow design, and operational oversight across automated production.

The Role
You will act as a senior authority across live production, directing complex and flagship programmes while leading on automation workflows, show design, and team development. You will work closely with editorial, engineering, and production teams to continuously improve output and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead direction of complex and flagship programmes using Vizrt Mosart
• Design and develop automated workflows and show templates
• Provide leadership during live production and key decision making
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive workflow innovation
• Mentor and develop Automation Directors and junior team members
• Maintain and improve operational standards and consistency

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of Vizrt Mosart, including show design and templates
• Extensive experience directing high-pressure automated live broadcasts
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities
• Deep technical understanding of broadcast automation systems
• Proven ability to improve workflows and operational processes
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills

This is primarily a Monday - Friday position and you will get the opportunity to take a leading role in shaping automated production within a fast-paced broadcast environment.
